What is Lash Enhancement?

Lash enhancement is the process of implanting black ink into the eyelids in a very subtle delicate line to make the eyes pop more and the illusion of fuller lashes. We at cure pmu, personally do not do thick lash enhancements. This procedure needs 2 appointments to reach the desired results. The first appointment will be a little bit more conservative with the thickness and saturation of the eyeliner, during the touch up will/ can go darker and thicker once we see how your skin takes the ink.

Does it hurt?

There may be some discomfort but we pre-numb and numb constantly throughout the procedure with a topical lidocaine.

how long does it last?

After your 6-8 week touch-up, depending on the size and saturation of the eyeliner tattoo, it can last anywhere from 1-5 years depending on your skin type and aftercare.

how long is the appointment

The appointment time is scheduled out for 2 hours can finish faster depending on how your skin takes the ink.

how long is the healing time?

The peeling stage is 7-10 days. full healing time is 4 weeks. During the healing time, it’s very important to follow aftercare and stay out of excessive sunlight and sweating.

what should i expect after the procedure?

Your eyes might have some slight swelling and irritation that will go away within 24-48 hours. Your eyeliner might look slightly thicker and bolder, once healed liner will shrink and fade about 30% lighter.

what is the pre-care?

do not wear eye makeup to your appointment

avoid coffee and alcohol up to 48 hours before your appointment. caffeine and alcohol can make you more sensitive and prone to swelling. Also, high caffeine intake may result in jittery eyes which will prolong the procedure.

Avoid tanning 2 weeks before the procedure

do not wear contacts on the day of the procedure

take off eyelash extension 1 week before the procedure

wear warm clothes to the studio and make sure to eat on the day of the appointment. The studio tends to get cold.

what is the after-care?

Do not wear eye makeup on or around the treated area to avoid infection.

blot your eyes with a paper towel for the next few hours following the procedure to take off any lymph fluid to avoid big scabbing.

apply ice to the eyes as needed to help with swelling. make sure it’s wrapped in a clean ziplock or paper towel

you may apply after-care ointment to the eyes if extremely itchy, if not keep the procedure area as dry as possible.

do not pick at the scabs, let if fall off naturally to avoid premature pigment lifting and scarring.

avoid excessive sunlight and sweating for two weeks
